okay, so apparently every friday for the past 3 weeks my phone has called ashley when i am at addison's game. i call her or text her asking what she needs and she replies by saying i called her first. it is like the commercial where the girl says to her boyfriend...'your butt is calling me again'. that is my phone with ashley.
well, it doesn't end there....today while carrying mark's birthday present into the house my pocket made a call again. not to ashley, but to someone more serious! my pocket call 9-1-1! when i realized this, i hung up and a couple of minutes later the sandy police department called to see if i was in need of help. i was very embarrassed and told her what had happened. her reply...."it's okay. it happens everyday, all day long. are you sure you don't need some fire, police, or medical help? and can i get your name?" no, i don't need help and yes you can have my name. ugh! my pocket needs to quit calling people!
ashley dared people to go green, yesterday on her blog. ash....i went green! i made 4 loaves of bread. yum!!! i love homemade bread! especially right out of the oven....double yum!
quote of the day...
to mothers, daughters, and women everywhere, let me stress the fact that because of your great potential and influence for good in the loves of all of us, Satan is determined to destroy you. you cannot compromise with him. you must have the courage, the strength, the desire, and the determination to live as the Lord would have you live--good clean lives. girls keep yourselves virtuous and worthy of a fine young man who has likewise kept himself clean, so that together you can to to the house of the Lord to be sealed in the holy bonds of matrimony for time and all eternity, and prepare a home where God will be pleased to send his spirit children" (Conference Report, Oct. 1973, p 126; or Ensign, Jan. 1974, p 8) Pres. one step forward, one step back
if you remember, i set some new year's goals....well, i am getting behind in some and moving forward in others.
one step forward.....finished my quilt
one step back.....not writing on my blog once a week
okay....i have only taken one step forward and a lot of steps back
oh well, i still have the rest of the year to move forward!
this past week has been a learning experience for me......
*God really does answer my prayers
*He listens even though you have rehashed the same problem over and over again
*He talks to my heart.....i just need to listen more
*i need to give my problems that i can't control to a surrender box and give them to the lord
*i need to learn to trust in Him and believe!

Ashley has spread the word.....
yesterday, i started a new blog account to make a year's worth of "memories" for my personal history. i told ashley about it and she told everyone that follows her blog....soooo, i guess i need to keep up to date on it. each day i will post a new question and answer it. no cheating....you can't use my answers for your answers, because i am pretty sure that you didn't live the same life i did!
well my 2 week stay with steve's kids has come to an end today. steve and becky have been on a very long honeymoon and i have been the wicked aunt of the west.....so his kids will probably say. steve asked me to help his kids pack up their rooms before he got back and i am happy to say that 3 out of 4 rooms are done! adam isn't done, but he is old enough to be on his own. all they have to pack is the stuff/clothes that they are still using. YAHOO!!!
i swim with the "master's swim group" down at the life center 3 times a week. i have to say that i love swimming, but the workouts are hard! mind you that this is at the end of the workout....today we had to do breath control....so we started with 3 breaths on the first length of the pool; 2 breaths on the second length; 1 breath on the third length; and 0 breaths on the fourth length (disclaimer....we did get to use fins). it is so hard for me to do these, but i did it!!!! i love swimming!
life is good! :0)

Foreordained!
today we talked about foreordination in sunday school. we discussed that all of us are foreordained to do certain things here on the earth according to what we did in our first estate. we all have the same opportunities to choose the right path while here on the earth. there are those that were chosen to be our leaders here on earth, but we still have the opportunities to learn and grow and be "added upon" when we keep the commandments. we may not all be ones to do great things like be the prophet or general yw president, but we can do great things in our own lives to help other people and gain God's trust.
someone gave a quote in class that summoned it all up:

you don't have to be one to do great things, but you can do small things with great love.

It hurts when my kids hurt!
dear others,
i do not like when you hurt my child's feelings and make them feel like a loser!
it hurts me more than it hurts them!
let's just all play nice!
